Why do children need a safe, educational setting to express and learn about their feelings?  What can we do as educators to facilitate this aspect of a child's personal development?  Join performing arts educator and author Marla Rosen, recently returned from her National Canadian Tour raising awareness for children's mental health, in an engaging hands-on workshop geared to discover and explore the importance of emotional intelligence and psychoneuroimmunity for children.

The EMOTIONS WORKSHOP is specifically geared to give teachers a working knowledge base about emotional intelligence and, methods and strategies to implement social awareness programs in their classroom.

    *A majority of the EMOTIONS Workshop is practical.  This component is hands-on giving teachers the tools to address social responsibility and, emotional competency:
    a) Drama Games and Improvisation
    b) Visual Art
    c) Music/ Dance

Marla Rosen - Biography
Marla is a performing arts educator, Primary Montessori teacher and York University Honors graduate of Theatre. She has also studied with puppeteers trained by Muppet creator Jim Henson, and with Giuseppe Condello, a prodigy of Marcel Marceau. As a musician, actor, puppeteer, dancer, director, choreographer, she has produced and performed a variety of educational arts based programs for children.
